King Lifestyle
Known for its rural recreation and small town charm, King is an upscale community with a quaint downtown and abundance of wholesome amenities. The Holland Marsh is a must-visit in the area. It’s a wetland and agricultural area within the Holland River valley, locally known as “Ontario’s vegetable patch” because of the abundance of produce present. Active residents can hike their way through Thornton Bales Conservation Area, and grab a bite to eat afterwards at local favourites like The Roos, Hogan’s Restaurant, Locale King, or Molly’s Market.
King is home to Seneca College making it a favourite for families and young couples. The college is also the site for Eaton Hall Country Inn and Spa, a gorgeous venue overlooking Lake Seneca. There is no shortage of amenities around King for the family to enjoy, from strawberry and apple picking to tours at Round The Bend Farms, everyone from toddlers to teens and parents can have fun.
While King is accessible best by car, there is GO and YRT transit available for commuters.
King Real Estate
There are a handful of heritage homes around King Road and Keele Street. The ranch-style and bungalow homes of the subdivisions built in the ’60s are starting to be replaced by new, custom builds, while some originals still remain. There are also a number of new home subdivisions built in the early 2000s. The Estates of King Valley is an exclusive enclave of homes inspired by French Country architecture. New condos can be found in Spring Hill, a boutique community.
