Nestled in the heart of the town of Aurora, Ontario, Aurora Heights offers a refreshingly mature, family-oriented neighbourhood with strong roots and warm community spirit.

A bit of history

Aurora Heights was one of Aurora’s first large-scale suburban subdivisions in the 1950s.
By 1957 construction of some 200 homes had begun and by the following year residents were moving in.
Today, many of those early homes — bungalows, side-splits and two-storeys — sit on generous lots, and some have been replaced by custom-built infills.

Why people love living here

  • Family-friendly design & green space: The neighbourhood’s winding crescents and cul-de-sacs create a calm, low-traffic feel; numerous parks and the the Willow Farm Lakeview Trail provide ample opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.
  • Homes with character: While many properties were built mid-century, the mix of bungalows and 2-storeys with mature trees and larger lots gives both charm and space for families.
  • Top-notch schools & recreation: With multiple elementary and high schools nearby and a plethora of sports fields and Aurora Community Centre, this area scores high for education and active living.
  • Convenient yet quiet: Positioned between Yonge Street and Bathurst Street, and with shopping at places like St. Andrews Shopping Centre plus the amenities of Aurora’s downtown heritage district just minutes away, you’ve got both convenience and comfort.

A snapshot of the lifestyle

Living in Aurora Heights means weekend strolls along quiet, tree-lined streets, quick access to recreation (ice-rinks, parks), and the blend of well-established homes with the possibility of modern updates or rebuilds. It’s a community where neighbours know each other, kids play in yards, and you’re close enough to Toronto for commuting, but far enough to feel removed from the bustle.

If you’re looking for a neighbourhood that offers:

  • Good resale value with older homes on generous lots (many ready for updating or rebuild)
